Teamfight Tactics' developer teases what's to come in patch 9.17
Two days after the Teamfight Tactics development released the 9.16B patch, next week's update was teased. According to Principal Game Designer, Stephen Mortimer, patch 9.17 is tentatively buffing, nerfing and reworking over one dozen units, items and interactions. $1 million Twitch Rivals event to be held at TwitchCon
On Friday afternoon, Twitch, one of the largest live streaming platforms in the world, announced that they will be hosting a $1 million Twitch Rivals tournament at the annual TwitchCon event starting on September 27 in San Diego. According to the company's press release, the three-day event will pit streamers against one another in Fortnite, League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics and Apex Legends. Previously reserved for the most popular streamers on the platforms, this Twitch Rivals event will allow any Twitch Partner or Affiliate to compete in the events.

Volibear, Assassins nerfed as Teamfight Tactics 9.14B patch notes revealed
On Wednesday morning, Riot Games' unveiled their 9.14B patch notes which aim to create more of a balance on the battlefield and knock a few popular strategies down a couple of pegs. With Brawlers, most specifically Volibear, and Ninja/Assassins dominating the current meta, a reduction to their overall power level is what the developer team looks to accomplish when the patch goes live later today. The developer comments alongside the patch notes themselves provide a bit of insight into the design process.
