Introduction
Inven Global English, LLC and its affiliates (“Inven Global,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy (“Policy”). This Policy describes the personal information we collect when you visit invenglobal.com and related properties (the “Website”), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you. This Policy is subject to, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
1. Scope, and Our Relationship to the Inven Global Store
This Policy applies to information we collect on the Website, in email or other electronic messages between you and the Website, and when you interact with our advertising or applications on third-party services that link to this Policy.
The Website is a media and editorial platform; it is not an online store. From time to time, articles and other content on the Website may include a link or button inviting you to purchase a game code or other digital product. Clicking that link takes you to the Inven Global Store, a separate e-commerce storefront operated by Inven Global English LLC at invenglobal.store (the “Store”). The Store is governed by its own Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Cookie Policy, which are separate from, and in addition to, this Policy — we encourage you to review them before making a purchase.
When you click a purchase link on the Website, we may pass along limited referral information — such as the article, placement, or campaign the click came from — to the Store so that we can measure which content drives purchases. This referral information does not include your account password or payment details, which are never visible to or collected by the Website. See Section 6 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies) for more detail on how this referral information is collected.
This Policy does not apply to information collected by the Store once you arrive there (governed by the Store's own Privacy Policy), by us offline, or by any third party, including advertisers or other websites that may link to or be accessible from the Website.
2. Children Under the Age of 13
The Website is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and no one under 13 may provide personal information to or through the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). If you are under 13, do not register on the Website, use its interactive or comment features, click through to make a purchase at the Store, or otherwise provide us with information about yourself, including your name, address, phone number, email address, or any username. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at desk@invenglobal.com.
Purchases at the Inven Global Store are also subject to the Store's own age-eligibility requirements, described in the Store's Terms of Service.
3. Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
- Account information: to register for an account, you provide a username, country, and email address. You can review and update this information at any time from your account page. We verify your email address for identification purposes, and we do not pass your contact information to any other organization except as described in Section 5 (Disclosure of Your Information).
- Content you submit: information you provide when filling in a form, entering a contest or promotion, reporting a problem, or responding to a poll or survey.
- Correspondence: records of your communications with us, including if you contact us by email.
- User Contributions: comments or other material you choose to post or transmit on public areas of the Website. These are posted and transmitted at your own risk; while we limit access to certain areas, we cannot guarantee that User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage and device data: details of your visits to the Website, including traffic data, location data (region-level), logs, IP address, operating system, and browser type.
- Search queries you submit on the Website.
- Cookies and similar technologies, including information used to recognize you on return visits, personalize content, measure advertising performance, and — where you click a purchase link — to attribute that click to the Inven Global Store, as described in Section 6.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- present the Website and its content to you, and provide the information, products, or services you request;
- verify your account and enable you to log in and use interactive features;
- notify you about changes to the Website or to products or services we offer;
- measure and improve Website performance, including estimating audience size and usage patterns;
- display advertising, including advertising that is more relevant to your interests, and measure advertising and content performance (including purchases made after clicking a link to the Store);
- communicate with you about your account, submissions, or inquiries; and
- fulfill any other purpose disclosed to you at the time you provide information, or with your consent.
We may use information we have collected to help display advertisements to our advertisers' target audiences. We do not disclose your personal information to advertisers for this purpose without your consent; however, if you click on or otherwise interact with an advertisement, the advertiser may infer that you meet its target criteria.
5. Disclosure of Your Information
We may disclose aggregated or de-identified information about our users, which does not identify any individual, without restriction. We may disclose personal information we collect or you provide:
- To contractors, service providers, and other third parties who support our business (such as hosting, analytics, and advertising providers) and who are contractually bound to keep the information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it;
- To Inven Global Store, limited to referral/attribution information described in Section 1, when you click a purchase link — the Store then handles any further information you provide (such as payment and order details) under its own Privacy Policy;
- To a buyer or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of some or all of our assets;
- To comply with a court order, law, legal process, or governmental or regulatory request;
- To enforce or apply our Terms of Service or other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes; and
- Where we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or others.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, pixels, ad tags, and similar technologies (collectively, “cookies”) to operate the Website, remember your preferences, analyze how the Website is used, show relevant advertising, and, where you click a purchase link, measure the resulting referral to the Inven Global Store. Categories of cookies we use include:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for core functionality such as login sessions; these cannot be disabled.
- Performance and analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Website and estimate audience size.
- Functionality cookies — remember your preferences and speed up repeat visits.
- Advertising and referral-attribution cookies — used to show relevant advertising, measure ad and content performance, and, where applicable, attribute a purchase at the Inven Global Store to the article or placement that generated the click. Our advertising and Store-attribution partners may also use cookies to determine whether an ad or link was shown and how it performed.
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the Website footer, or opt out of non-essential cookies through your browser settings; general guidance is available at www.allaboutcookies.org. Because our system issues cookies automatically unless your browser is set to refuse them, please adjust your browser settings if you do not want to receive cookies. Disabling cookies may prevent you from using some Website features.
Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser or device sending the signal. See Section 11 for more on your California privacy rights, including how to use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Website footer.
7. International Data Transfers and Data Security
The Company is based in the United States, and the information described in this Policy is stored in a secure system within the United States. If you access the Website from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Accessing, Correcting, and Deleting Your Information
You can review and update your account information at any time by logging into the Website and visiting your account profile page. You may also request that we close your account and delete your information by contacting desk@invenglobal.com; we will disable your account and delete your information within a reasonable time, except information we are permitted or required to retain by law. If you delete User Contributions, copies may remain viewable in cached or archived pages, or may have been copied by other users; use of User Contributions is governed by our Terms of Service.
9. Relationship to the Inven Global Store's Privacy Policy
If you click through to the Inven Global Store to make a purchase, any information you provide there — such as billing information, payment details, and order history — is collected and used by Inven Global Store under its own Privacy Policy, not this Policy. We encourage you to review the Store's Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Refund Policy before completing a purchase. This Website does not receive or store your payment card details.
10. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have rights similar to those described in Section 11, including the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal information. You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the details in Section 13.
11. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this Policy, in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the “CCPA”).
11.1 Categories of Personal Information We Collect
| Category (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.140) | Examples | Collected? | Sold / Shared |
|---|---|---|---|
| A. Identifiers | Username, email address, IP address | Yes | Not sold. May be shared for advertising and Store-referral attribution — see Section 11.2 |
| D. Commercial Information | Referral/click data showing you followed a purchase link to the Store (we do not receive your Store order details) | Limited | May be shared for Store-referral attribution — see Section 11.2 |
| F. Internet / Network Activity | Browsing behavior, pages viewed, clickstream, cookie identifiers | Yes | Shared for advertising and analytics — see Section 11.2 |
| G. Geolocation Data | Approximate, region-level location inferred from IP address | Yes | No |
| K. Inferences | Inferred content interests based on browsing activity | Yes | Shared for advertising — see Section 11.2 |
11.2 Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Like many media websites, we use advertising and analytics cookies that may be considered “sharing” of personal information (such as identifiers and internet activity data) for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA's broad definitions. This includes the referral/attribution data described in Section 1 and Section 6 that we pass to the Inven Global Store to measure which articles or placements drive purchases. You can opt out of this sharing at any time using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Website footer, or by enabling a recognized opt-out preference signal (such as GPC) in a supporting browser.
11.3 Your Rights
Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to:
- Know/Access: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, our purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties we have shared it with;
- Delete: request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to exceptions (such as information we need to complete a transaction or comply with a legal obligation);
- Correct: request that we correct inaccurate personal information;
- Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: direct us to limit use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Website — we currently do not use sensitive personal information beyond that necessary purpose;
- Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: opt out as described in Section 11.2;
- Non-Discrimination: not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights; and
- Appeal: appeal a denied request, as described below.
11.4 How to Exercise Your Rights
You may submit a request to know, delete, or correct your personal information by emailing desk@invenglobal.com. We will need to verify your identity before completing a request, generally by matching the information you provide to information already on file. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf by providing written proof of the agent's authority. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days, which may be extended by an additional 45 days with notice to you. If we deny your request in whole or in part, you may appeal by emailing desk@invenglobal.com with “Appeal” in the subject line; we will respond to your appeal within 60 days.
11.5 Shine the Light
Separately from the CCPA, California Civil Code § 1798.83 (“Shine the Light”) permits California residents to request, once per calendar year, information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, email desk@invenglobal.com.
12. Users Outside the United States
If you access the Website from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States as described in Section 7. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with its own data protection framework, you may have additional rights, such as the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact us using the details in Section 13 to exercise any such rights.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy and Contact Information
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above; if we make material changes to how we treat personal information, we will provide additional notice through the Website home page. Your continued use of the Website after a change is deemed acceptance of that change.
