BlizzCon 2026, returning after three years, was packed with big announcements. Opening the show was 'Heroes of the Storm.' Six years after announcing the end of content updates in 2020, the game signaled its revival with the reveal of a new hero, Xal'atath. On top of that, a new entry in the StarCraft franchise, long shrouded in mystery, was finally revealed. Announced as an open-world shooter, the title immediately drew immense interest from gamers around the world.
The follow-up announcements were equally major. Following a teaser reveal for 'Diablo 5', 'Warcraft 3: Reforged'—long considered neglected—will receive a new campaign for the first time in 20 years relative to the original game. Alongside this, a free 3.0 update will be released, introducing a new graphics mode aligned with the original game's visual direction rather than Reforged's exaggerated style.
The grand finale was 'World of Warcraft: Forever', a reboot of 'World of Warcraft'. Based on vanilla WoW, it promises a fresh experience with a slew of new zones, dungeons, raids, and the new neutral race Skyborn.
As such, BlizzCon 2026 showcased a wide array of information, including new content, system changes, and visuals across various titles. Since many details are better understood visually, we have compiled the concept art, system interface images, and new content screenshots revealed during the presentation.
