BlizzCon 2026, returning after three years, was packed with major announcements. Leading off the event was Heroes of the Storm. Six years after announcing the end of content updates in 2020, the game signaled its revival with the announcement of a new hero, Xal'atath. Additionally, a new title based on the StarCraft IP, which had been shrouded in secrecy, was finally revealed. Announced as an open-world shooter, the title immediately drew massive attention from gamers worldwide.
The momentum continued with more heavy hitters. Following a teaser for Diablo V, Warcraft III: Reforged—long considered abandoned—announced a new campaign, coming 20 years after the original game. Alongside this, a free 3.0 update will be released, introducing a new graphics mode aligned with the original game's artistic direction, moving away from Reforged's exaggerated visuals.
The finale was marked by World of Warcraft: Forever, a reboot of World of Warcraft. Based on the original vanilla game, it promises a fresh experience by introducing a wealth of content including new zones, dungeons, raids, and even a new neutral race, the Skyborn.
As shown, BlizzCon 2026 unveiled a wide range of information across titles, including new content, system overhauls, and updated visuals. Since many of these details are best understood visually, we have compiled the concept art, system UI images, and new content screenshots revealed during the presentations.
