Chinese developer S-Game has delayed the release of its upcoming action RPG, 'Phantom Blade Zero,' to October 29. This pushes the launch back by approximately 50 days from the original September 9 date announced at 'The Game Awards 2025' last year.

S-Game announced the delay in an official statement immediately following the PlayStation 'State of Play' event on the 3rd, while also noting that pre-orders will begin this summer. The development team explained, "While 50 days cannot change everything, it is enough time to finalize important improvements that players will notice the moment they start the game."

The delay appears to be focused on polishing the game rather than adding new content. S-Game stated that they are currently working on refining visual quality, overall game details, and the player experience. While specific changes were not disclosed, the move suggests the game has entered its final polishing phase ahead of launch.

'Phantom Blade Zero' is an action RPG set in a 'Kung Fu Punk' world that blends Chinese martial arts with dark fantasy. The story follows the protagonist, 'Soul,' who is framed for the murder of his master and must uncover the truth while living with only 66 days left to live. The game has garnered significant attention since its reveal for its fast-paced, stamina-free sword combat, multi-weapon mechanics, and cinematic presentation.

'Phantom Blade Zero' is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), with the console version remaining a PS5 exclusive for a set period. The new release date is October 29, 2026.
