Bancho, the chef from 'DAVE THE DIVER', returns as the protagonist of his own standalone title, 'Bancho the Chef'.

MINTROCKET unveiled the new game, which expands on the DAVE THE DIVER universe, during the State of Play event on the 3rd. It is a completely new, standalone game rather than a DLC, featuring Bancho as the lead character. MINTROCKET hinted at the reason for developing a game centered on him, noting that Bancho was so popular he even topped a fan poll.

Set in 2004, 19 years before the events of the original game, the story follows Bancho before he became a master sushi chef. The gameplay focuses on Bancho traveling across Asia to learn culinary techniques from various masters, blending elements of cooking simulation, RPG, and adventure.

The game features diverse gameplay, including not only preparing and serving dishes within a time limit but also minigames like fishing and petting cats. The visuals have also shifted from pixel art to 3D, allowing for more intricate detail. The game will also utilize DualSense features, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, to bring the cooking process to life in a more immersive way.

During the State of Play, it was confirmed that the game is in development for PS5, and MINTROCKET stated that more details will be shared later this year.
