A new trailer for the upcoming Mega Man title, 'Mega Man: Dual Override,' was revealed during the Nintendo Direct.
The video showcases gameplay featuring Proto Man, the wandering warrior. Utilizing Proto Man's shield allows players to break through robots with higher attack power.
Players can experience two distinct playstyles between Mega Man and Proto Man, engaging in battle however they choose. By combining Custom Chips, it is also possible to further enhance character abilities. Custom Chips can alter performance or boost various abilities.
At the end of each stage, a battle against a powerful boss awaits. By using the new Override system, players can unleash their full potential to take down bosses.
Override is a system that allows robots to release their limiters by their own will and temporarily draw out power beyond their limits. While active, it grants overwhelming strength, but once the effect ends, Mega Man's performance drops significantly.
Mega Man: Dual Override will launch in Spring 2027 for PC, PS4/5, XBO, XSX|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. New amiibo figures for Mega Man and Proto Man will also be released on the same day.
