In the Play-In Stage final match of the 2026 LoL World Championship held at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles in the early morning of October 19 (KST), Karmine Corp secured another sweep against MVK, advancing to the main event Swiss Stage.
In Game 1, Karmine Corp seized the momentum by scoring across all lanes and gradually suffocated MVK through macro play. 'Yehu' Kang Ye-hu's Cassiopeia and 'Canna' Kim Chang-dong's Jayce constantly pressured the side lanes, accumulating a gold lead and steadily stacking kills along the way. Around the 27-minute mark, Karmine Corp baited a teamfight around Baron, sweeping up four kills to close out the game.
Karmine Corp's momentum continued into Game 2. 'Yike''s Qiyana landed impactful plays wherever he went, pulling the team further ahead. 'Gury''s Malphite, who was inherently powerless before reaching level 6, failed to accomplish much even after hitting level 6. In just 12 minutes, the gold gap widened to over 5,000 gold, with the jungler growth gap exceeding 3,000 gold.
Karmine Corp continued to snowball unilaterally. Just like in the previous game, the Korean solo lane duo of 'Canna' and 'Yehu' held tight control over the side lanes, while Qiyana roamed across all lanes to add more kills. After securing Baron at 22 minutes, Karmine Corp won a decisive dragon fight, destroyed the Nexus towers, and after resetting, pushed forward once more to destroy Game 2's Nexus.
Game 3 was a potential elimination game. MVK picked Twitch ADC and tried to throw off Karmine Corp with a level 1 invade and top lane roams, but these moves failed to produce kills. First Blood came elsewhere, with 'Kratos''s Yone scoring a solo kill against 'Canna''s Zaahen. Additionally, 'SiuLoong''s Camille, who had scaled independently in the bottom lane, contributed by picking off 'Yike''s Naafiri.
However, the joy was short-lived. Karmine Corp answered with a solo kill in mid lane, followed by a double kill in a 2v2 top-jungle skirmish. Although Yone picked up another solo kill, MVK continued to bleed advantages in the chaotic brawls that followed. Karmine Corp baited MVK to the Baron pit, won a crushing teamfight, and stretched the lead to over 8,000 gold. Ultimately, Karmine Corp destroyed the Nexus in approximately 26 minutes to secure their spot in the Swiss Stage.
