A new Kirby title took center stage to close out the latest Nintendo Direct. The first trailer for 'Kirby and the World Beyond' was revealed during the broadcast.
Kirby and the World Beyond is a game where players can freely explore a vast world and creatively utilize Kirby's Copy Abilities. Throughout the journey, players must uncover what awaits Kirby in the "world beyond."
In the trailer, the adorable yet courageous Kirby embarks on a grand adventure using his Copy Abilities. Footage showcases Kirby running across lush natural landscapes, floating through the air, and engaging in battle against King Dedede.
Fitting for the title "World Beyond," the latter half of the video shows cracks forming in the familiar world, with Kirby tearing through them. A new character was also revealed.
The Kirby series will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2027. With Kirby and the World Beyond scheduled for release in Spring 2027, the game is expected to serve as the series' 35th anniversary title. Excluding remakes, this is the first brand-new entry in the Kirby series since 2022's Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which marked the 30th anniversary.
