SOOP announced on October 30 that it recorded consolidated revenue of 105.7 billion won, an operating profit of 14.5 billion won, and a net profit of 10.6 billion won in the third quarter of 2026. Revenue, operating profit, and net profit increased by 1.8%, 15%, and 21% quarter-over-quarter, respectively.
Compared to the same period last year, revenue fell 16.0%, operating profit dropped 59.9%, and net profit declined 64.0%. Advertising revenue rose 35.4% quarter-over-quarter to 36.8 billion won, contributing to the quarter-over-quarter growth in revenue and operating profit. Among this, content-based advertising revenue reached 19.5 billion won, up 54.6% from the previous quarter.
SOOP attributed the growth in advertising revenue to expanded brand campaigns for esports leagues and major events—such as FC Online and the Valorant VCT Busan Roadshow—along with campaigns for new game releases and offline corporate marketing projects. In content-based advertising, events linked to game publishers increased, including tournament production and operations, showcases, and pop-up events.
For its next phase in the advertising business, the company is preparing an integrated marketing brand called SOOPHERE. Aiming for an official launch in Q1 2027, SOOP plans to consolidate the advertising and marketing capabilities of itself and its subsidiaries, building an integrated proposal and operation system that connects content, streamers, and advertisers. Performance marketing capabilities will also be combined into this ecosystem.
In the fourth quarter, SOOP will respond to the return of key streamers and end-of-year brand marketing demand. The company aims to expand user touchpoints through content such as the ASL, LCK, LoL World Championship, global esports, and women's professional volleyball, while expanding collaboration opportunities with external partners.
SOOP is also providing support to help new and returning streamers with content planning and platform adjustment. Since October, it has been running a Partners Mentoring program featuring MCNs and partner streamers. Previously, in September, it introduced an emblem system to certify streamers' cumulative activity achievements and boost their ongoing motivation.
Service updates will focus on improving content discovery and user convenience. SOOP plans to share a UI/UX redesign proposal at the end of the year and roll it out in phases starting in 2027, making it easier for users to find and enjoy the content they want.
Regarding shareholder returns, SOOP retired 306,375 treasury shares in September, representing approximately 2.7% of its total issued shares. SOOP currently meets the criteria for a high-dividend company and maintains its policy of distributing at least 25% of consolidated net profit in cash dividends. The company plans to communicate with the market by developing corporate value enhancement plans, including dividend strategies to maintain its high-dividend status, utilization of remaining treasury shares, and mid-to-long-term capital allocation.
