Netmarble has released a new update for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, its anime open-world role-playing game (RPG), adding an original hero named Estia, a Halloween event called Mighty Freaky Circus and a harder raid difficulty.

According to a release, Estia was created exclusively for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. Most of the new events run through November 18th. Netmarble shares news about the game on its official X account.

How Estia plays

Estia's combat role changes with the weapon she equips. With a Rapier, she is a Cold-element attacker who builds up Weaken stacks on enemies before unleashing her Ultimate Move. A Wand turns her into a Holy-element healer and defender who uses healing over time, area healing and barriers.

With a Grimoire, she becomes a Cold-element support who raises allies' Ultimate Move damage and critical stats while lowering enemies' defense. Players can try all three styles in the Hero Estia Trial Event, which runs through November 18th and offers rewards including Star Fragments and Supreme Mastery EXP.

Halloween events and a harder raid

Mighty Freaky Circus is set during a harvest festival in the Capital of Liones. In its story, Tristan finds a circus tent that no one else can see, is drawn inside and becomes the star of a dangerous show that turns into a ‘seemingly endless nightmare’, in the release's words.

Players complete event quests and defeat the event boss, Star of the Nightmare, to collect currency that can be exchanged for rewards such as a Halloween Chance Basket, a Brilliant Engraving Seal and SSR Magic Crystal Shards. SSR is a top rarity grade common in gacha games, where characters and items are drawn at random.

A new minigame, Deadly Sins, Assemble!, also runs through November 18th and awards event currency that can be traded for a special title and other rewards. An Update Eve Check-In Event runs from November 4th to November 18th and hands out hero draw tickets.

For players looking for a bigger challenge, the update adds a Transcendence difficulty to the Taranis's Sanctuary raid. To earn the final rewards, players must defeat the final boss, Black Knighthood Captain Taranis, within a time limit.
