Upcoming gameplay changes leave HGC community polarized
In the upcoming month, the Heroes of the Storm team will be putting into motion their initial round of gameplay changes that were announced at BlizzCon to, in their eyes, improve the overall state of the game. While many changes will not go live until 2019, such as showing a player’s visible Match-Making Rating (MMR) and changes to the Ranked player experience, what is being released in the near future may be more impactful long-term. How team experience is received via destroying enemy fortifications will be completely re-worked to prevent one team “snowballing” another based off early game pressure, according to Blizzard.

Soaz Officially Becomes a Free Agent on November 19th
sOAZ, the former top laner for Fnatic, will officially become a free agent starting on November 19th. According to his social media account, Fnatic has allowed sOAZ to contact other organizations before his official free agency starts on November 19th. sOAZ, who is renowned for his top laning ability, has been in the League of Legends esports scene longer than any other players have. He was a former member of against All authority before he joined Fnatic; although he left at one point to join Origen, he returned to the team. Ever since then, sOAZ and Fnatic have been rising up, placing 1st in several major tournaments, including the 2018 EU LCS Spring & Summer Splits. Fnatic, one of the prestigious LoL esports teams, was on a smooth road to victory in the League of Legends World Championship 2018 until they were unfortunately defeated by Invictus Gaming in the finals, placing them 2nd.
