Pokrovac is the world's first player to reach Legends of Runeterra's highest rank

The player to reach the Master rank in Legends of Runeterra first has been crowned: Mikuláš "Pokrovac" Dio. The achievement is reached just five days after Riot Games' collectible card game went live with its Open Beta, which added ranked mode to the client. Pokrovac hasn't shared yet which deck he used to climb the ladder.

Pokrovac is a card game player who's mostly known within esports for his achievements in Hearthstone, where he first reached the big stage in 2015. His most notable achievements include a semi final appearance at the 2016 Winter Championships, and a first place finish with the Czech Republic team in the first ever Hearthstone Global Games in 2017.

The ranked system in Legends of Runeterra ranges from Iron to Master, unlike in League of Legends, where players can grind further to achieve Grandmaster and even Challenger ranks. There is only one tier in Legends of Runeterra's Master rank now. However, this is likely to change when eventually more players flood the tier.
