Pawprint Studio applied the S1 Part 2 update, 'Departure with the Wind', to its cross-platform open-world monster-catching RPG Aniimo on October 29. The update adds 51 new Aniimo and 4 new regions while expanding the level cap to 70.
For combat content, 4v4 real-time battles and new stages for 'Holo-Training' have been added, along with improvements to 'Holo-Co-op'. In 'Aniimo Egg Heist', a new PvP mode has been introduced where three teams compete over a single 'Legendary Extra-Large Egg'. On a mysterious island, each team must maintain a connection with the egg to accumulate activation progress. Restrictions apply to equipment loadouts and item usage, and the stats of participating Aniimo are adjusted. The winning team receives an 'Extra-Large Egg' as a reward, from which a rare Prismana Aniimo Egg can be obtained.
The new exploration area, 'Whisperwake Isles', consists of 'Crescent Bay', 'Scarletbow Marsh', 'Rapid Gorge', and 'Cloudfall Falls'. Players can explore various environments—such as coasts floating with massive bubbles, swift-water gorges, and roaring waterfalls—to discover and capture Aniimo. Four Aniimo appear in season-exclusive Prismana forms, and new Prismana forms have also been added for Aniimo like 'Gachako', 'Jellina', and 'Sawtooth Shark'.
The first player-co-created Electric-element Aniimo, 'Voltpanther', was also introduced. In the 'Echoes of Fantasy' event, players can check out Voltpanther's traits and acquire its exclusive offering recipe. The 'Companion Handbook' adds the Wind-element Aniimo 'Illuwing' and its Prismana form, while the Dark-element 'Prismana Phantombat' is offered as a season achievement reward.
RV housing now supports a three-story layout expansion, a weather system, and blueprint-sharing functionality. In the new seasonal themes 'Fantasy Night Parade' and 'Mysterious Fantasy Night', limited furniture, RV exteriors, and mutated crops have been added. New outfits for character customization and pumpkin-themed decorations were also introduced.
To commemorate the update, a 14-day cumulative check-in reward event is available, and the racing event 'Run, Aniimo!' will take place starting November 12. In 'Vein of Abundance', Aniimo spawn rates and resource gains are increased. Events featuring special Prismana Aniimo encounters, exploration, photography, and capturing are also underway.
The Pawprint Studio development team stated, "Through this update, we are excited to introduce new regions, Aniimo, and a variety of combat and lifestyle content. We will continue to actively listen to adventurer feedback and add new content to provide an even richer and more exciting adventure."
Meanwhile, the update notice also included details that server maintenance for the APAC region was conducted on October 29 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with affected players receiving 500 Glimmer as compensation.
