Flyway Games is hosting a Halloween playtest on Steam from October 29 to November 11, offering players a chance to experience the unreleased Chapter 2 of Waltz and Jam. A standard demo for PlayStation 5 was also released on October 29.
Access to this playtest is granted on a first-come, first-served basis through Gleam activities. Participants can play through Chapter 2 tailored with a fitting Halloween atmosphere, and five randomly selected participants will receive Steam Gift Cards. The standard demo is available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, allowing players to experience the game's opening areas.
Waltz and Jam is a single-player action-adventure game where Waltz, a soul with no memories, and Jam, a spirit dog, explore "Downtown" in the afterlife. The game consists of seven chapters inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins, with each chapter featuring distinct environments, puzzles, enemies, and boss battles.
Puzzles and obstacles are solved by combining Waltz's toy tools with Jam's transformation abilities. Jam's abilities develop as the journey progresses, helping open new pathways or break through hazardous situations. Players will uncover hidden secrets, learn boss attack patterns, and press forward on their adventure. A hand-drawn, cartoonish art style is another key feature of the game.
The game is scheduled for official launch on December 3 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. It supports Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Italian, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian.
