Ubisoft has confirmed it currently has no other Assassin's Creed remake in active development, following the release of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced in July.

The news came in the Assassin's Creed Fall 2026 Update, a franchise roundup presented by Head of Content Jean Guesdon and shared on X (formerly Twitter) on October 29th. According to the announcement, the series' teams are "already focused on the next chapter of Assassin's Creed titles, including projects you haven't heard about yet, featuring new settings and stories." Ubisoft added that this should not be taken as "a closed door" and said it would keep looking at ways to bring older games back.

Invictus reworked, Hexe pushed to 2027 update

Codename Invictus, the publisher's multiplayer project, has changed course after its first private Insiders Session. Ubisoft said players liked the parkour, the verticality of its maps and the chance to play as different series characters, but wanted more of the pillars that define Assassin's Creed. The team has spent the past months acting on that feedback.

Codename Hexe, described as a darker Assassin's Creed experience, is making "steady progress", though Ubisoft admitted there is still work ahead. Its next major update will come in 2027.

Valhalla New Game+ and the 20th anniversary

Assassin's Creed Valhalla has passed 40 million players, and New Game+ arrives on November 5th. It adds dedicated scaling, a new Mithril resource for Divine Gear, new runes, a stash system and a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe from Assassin's Creed Shadows. Black Flag Resynced has received its final major update, adding New Game+, Nightmare Mode and Blackbeard's outfit, which Ubisoft said marks the end of its current plans for major content.

Elsewhere, production on Netflix's live-action Assassin's Creed series is nearing completion in Rome, with composer Hannah Peel scoring the show. No release date has been given. The franchise turns 20 in 2027, and Ubisoft said a year of reveals, rewards and community events is planned, alongside a new Community Survey that is live now.
