Ubisoft has confirmed that a New Game+ mode is coming to Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced next week.
The official Assassin's Creed account announced the news on X (formerly Twitter), with the post reading: "Thank you everyone for your patience. New Game+ is coming to Black Flag Resynced next week! 🥂🎊" The same message went out on the Assassin's Creed UK account alongside a short video clip.
The post did not give an exact date for the update. It also did not say which platforms will get the mode first or what New Game+ will carry over, and no patch notes had been shared at the time of writing.
Where Black Flag Resynced fits in Assassin's Creed
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is a remake of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, which first came out in 2013. According to a release, it was led by Ubisoft Singapore and rebuilt on the latest version of the Anvil engine, the same engine behind Assassin's Creed Shadows. Ubisoft said it adds improved stealth and parkour, deeper naval mechanics and new story content.
The game launched on July 9th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, as well as through the Ubisoft+ subscription service. Players once again take the role of Edward Kenway, a pirate captain caught up in the conflict between the Assassins and Templars during the Golden Age of Piracy.
