Hideo Kojima has revealed the development status of his new titles in collaboration with Xbox, 'OD-KNOCK' and 'Physint'. Actor Bill Skarsgård will play the lead role in Physint.
Hideo Kojima appeared on the Xbox TGS 2026 Broadcast to announce details regarding two new IPs. He shared that he visited the Xbox office in Redmond, Washington, earlier this year and discussed the future of gaming and digital entertainment, as well as the goals both companies aim to achieve together.
First, development on OD is progressing smoothly. Performance capture and ADR recording, which had been paused, resumed this year, and production is proceeding as planned. Hideo Kojima shared that the cast, including Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer, are delivering intense and outstanding performances.
He described OD as "a completely new kind of game that tests the thresholds of fear." Through continuous experimentation and iteration, the project is taking shape, with further details to be revealed at a later date.

Development on Physint, which will be published by Xbox, is also moving forward. Hideo Kojima described Physint as the culmination of his career, explaining it as "a project that will redefine action-espionage, unbound by the frameworks of existing digital entertainment genres." Casting, 3D scanning, and collaborations with outside creators are currently underway.
The lead role in Physint will be played by actor Bill Skarsgård. Bill Skarsgård gained global recognition for his role as Pennywise in the movie It, and subsequently starred in various works including It Chapter Two, Barbarian, John Wick: Chapter 4, The Crow, and Nosferatu. In addition, Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe were previously announced as part of the Physint cast, with further casting announcements to follow.

Hideo Kojima revealed that he and Bill Skarsgård have long been fans of each other's work and decided to embark on a new challenge together. Earlier this year, costume fittings, 3D scanning, and camera tests were conducted with Bill Skarsgård and Charlee Fraser. Kojima explained that this gave him tremendous confidence in the direction of the project and helped further shape his vision for the final product.
The newly released teaser visual features photos of Bill Skarsgård and Charlee Fraser personally shot by Hideo Kojima at the time.
Meanwhile, Physint recently made headlines after ending its collaboration with Sony and partnering with Xbox. On September 10, Hideo Kojima posted on X that he "received notice of the project's cancellation from Sony in mid-June" and that "after three months of searching, Xbox joined as the new partner."
