On September 17, news on upcoming titles and major updates for Xbox was unveiled during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 Showcase.
The broadcast featured multiple trailers, ranging from the campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 to a new character in Persona 4 Revival and a new boss in Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, alongside an announcement from Hideo Kojima. Information on games from Korean developers was also revealed, including Com2uS's Gachiakuta: Breakout, Netmarble's Bloomwalker, and Lizard Smoothie's Shape of Dreams.
■ Gachiakuta: Breakout | 2027 | ▶Trailer
Com2uS's new title, previously known as Gachiakuta: The Game, was officially unveiled under its formal title, Gachiakuta: Breakout. Based on the TV anime Gachiakuta, it is a survival action RPG featuring cartoon-style graphics and melee-focused action.
In the new video, the battle between Jabber Wonger and Zanka Nijiku was featured prominently, while protagonist Rudo Surebrec, alongside Enjin and Riyo Reaper, was also shown. The game is scheduled for release in 2027.

Japan will be added to SEGA's Crazy Taxi: World Tour. Players can freely roam across Japan, where traditional streets coexist with modern cities, exploring various locations, meeting locals, and purchasing souvenirs. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is scheduled for release in 2027.

A new campaign trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 was revealed. The storyline centers on the pursuit surrounding Captain Price, who has become a fugitive, a Korean Peninsula engulfed in war following a North Korean invasion of South Korea, and a mysterious weapon that threatens to shatter the global order.
The game will launch on October 23. Players who digitally pre-order the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition can gain early access to play the campaign starting October 16.

A new character trailer for Naoto Shirogane was revealed for Persona 4 Revival. Naoto Shirogane is a cool-headed and sharp high school detective and a member of the self-proclaimed Investigation Team. Alongside the protagonist's group, Naoto pursues the truth behind a series of incidents while showcasing a signature combat style. The game will release on February 18, 2027.

Shape of Dreams, published by NEOWIZ and developed by Lizard Smoothie, has launched on Xbox Series X|S. It is also available Day One on Xbox Game Pass. The Xbox version includes a major update and supports cross-play with players on other platforms.

Combat against a new boss, 'Zuochi', in Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember was revealed. Producer Masakazu Hirayama explained the encounter while highlighting key combat techniques used in the boss fight. An Alpha Demo is playable through September 30, and clearing the demo rewards players with items that can be used in the full game. The game is set to launch on March 4, 2027.

Narrative mystery game Hope in the City, currently in development by Lofty Sky Entertainment, will launch on November 10. The game follows Hope, a teenage girl searching for her parents after their sudden disappearance. Utilizing Hope's keen observation skills and sketchbook, players investigate their surroundings to uncover the secrets behind her parents' vanishing.

A new trailer for Netmarble's upcoming title Bloomwalker was released. Bloomwalker is a cozy crafting game about purifying a polluted world alongside a moving house, originally revealed at Gamescom 2025. It was also announced during this showcase that Bloomwalker takes place within the Ni no Kuni universe.

Serenity Forge's Faraday Blues was revealed during the showcase. The game is a surreal sci-fi adventure following a daughter searching for parents who don't even know she exists. Players collect and utilize character cards to navigate three interconnected visual novels. Story branches alter based on choices, leading to a total of 64 endings.

Information on Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories was also revealed. Rutger and Lenja, who appeared in the previous title Atelier Yumia, are making their return. Having gained experience and grown as members of the Aladiss Research Team, the two join Karia and her companions on their new adventure.

The first gameplay trailer for Raji: Kaliyuga, currently under development by Nodding Heads Games, was revealed alongside developer commentary. Set six years after the original title, the story involves humans, gods, asuras, and other beings. While the prequel utilized an isometric perspective, this entry is presented as a full third-person action-adventure.

Isles of Abyss, a massive free expansion for Once Human, will launch on October 22. As an oceanic expansion, it introduces ship crafting, survival across islands and the open sea, deep-sea exploration, and new endgame bosses, with the video outlining several survival rules for enduring the forbidden seas.

The release date for the action JRPG Edge of Memories has been set for November 5. The game is developed through a collaboration between a small French studio and veteran Japanese developers. Players take on the role of Eline, a young nomad, who must save the world from ruin alongside her companions.
■ Genigods: Nezha | 2028
A developer video for Genigods: Nezha, an action RPG in development based on ancient Chinese genesis mythology, was revealed. Players embody the Spirit Pearl, the first life forged by Nuwa, Goddess of Creation, experiencing an epic myth. Combat features two stances, awakening transformations, and mysterious artifacts. The video showcased major combat elements, including aerial combat and shape-shifting artifacts.
■ Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement | 2027 | ▶Trailer
A new gameplay video was released for Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, produced by Koji Igarashi. Featuring a new yet ancient story in the Bloodstained universe, the game is an adventure title set in a 16th-century gothic England. The trailer shows Leo and Alex exploring cursed regions and confronting various foes.
■ PHYSINT, OD | ▶Trailer
The main protagonist for PHYSINT, currently in development by Kojima Productions, was revealed. The lead role will be played by actor Bill Skarsgård. Previously, Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe were announced as part of the cast.
Hideo Kojima described PHYSINT as the culmination of his career, a project that redefines action-espionage without being bound by existing genres. Earlier this year, costume fittings, scans, and camera tests were conducted with Bill Skarsgård and Charlee Fraser.
Development on OD is also progressing smoothly. Performance capture and ADR recording, which had been paused, resumed this year, and production is advancing according to plan.
