Nintendo held an online showcase, Nintendo Direct, on the 9th. Announced just one day prior, the event was effectively the final showcase of SGF 2026 and drew significant attention as the first comprehensive Nintendo Direct in about nine months. With the Nintendo Switch 2 entering its second year, it was a crucial moment to unveil titles that would drive hardware sales moving forward.

In line with this, Nintendo presented a lineup of new titles and releases more robust than previous Directs. The event kicked off with the announcement of the 2026 release of the long-rumored The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, followed by information on several first-party titles including Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, Xenoblade Genesis, and Splatoon Raiders.
