Dallas Fuel fire support HarryHook for calling women "bitches" and "whores"

Overwatch League franchise team Dallas Fuel announced Thursday that it's dropped support player Jonathan "HarryHook" Tejedor over "player misconduct". The misconduct in question has HarryHook using misogynic language, calling women "whores" and "bitches", and was brought to public attention August 5 by members of the Overwatch community.

"[sic] there is a lot of girls i know they are just bitches. whats the problem?" HarryHook writes to one Lady Regina. In another Discord chat posted by user TheTattooDad, HarryHook is seen saying [sic] "and honestly like i said before, i dont care if some wankers cry because i fuck a girl whos a whore."

HarryHook spoke out on Twitter about his release from the team, issuing an apology that wasn't well accepted by the community.

HarryHook's firing is yet another instance of what seems to be rampant mismanagement within Dallas Fuel, with several other staff members being let go just this August. On August 3, Dallas Fuel dropped DPS Jang "Decay" Gui-un, following allegations that the player refused to practice. Head coach Aaron “Aero” Atkins and assistant coach Louis “Tikatee” Lebel-Wong were also let go earlier this month.

HarryHook has been a founding member of the Dallas Fuel, but his tenure with the roster goes way back to the days of Team EnVyUs — the team that was acquired to become Dallas Fuel. As captain, HarryHook led EnVyUs to numerous high-profile tournament wins, including Overwatch APEX Season 1 and MLG Vegas 2016.
