Doctor Doom is coming to 'Marvel Fighting Souls.'
During the State of Play event on the 3rd, SIE revealed detailed information about the fourth team for Marvel Fighting Souls: Knights of Doom. The team is led by Doctor Doom and includes three new characters: Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage.
Doom, Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage are all iconic villains from the Marvel universe. Magneto, who controls magnetism, has long reigned as the arch-nemesis of the X-Men. In the game, he weaponizes the entire battlefield by turning surrounding objects into projectiles to hurl at enemies. Green Goblin, Spider-Man's long-time rival, excels at high-speed movement on his bat-shaped glider and employs unconventional attacks, such as keeping enemies at bay with bombs. When Carnage lands a tentacle attack, he temporarily infects the opponent with a symbiote. While infected, Carnage's skills are enhanced, allowing him to launch one-sided offensives by piercing guards and draining the enemy's health.
Doctor Doom, a master of both magic and science, showcases action in the trailer that utilizes firearms and magic simultaneously. Players can also enjoy his signature mask and imposing presence.
A night version of the existing New York stage has been added as the home stage for the Knights of Doom. In contrast to the daytime version, this darker setting will feature various hidden Easter eggs.
Arc System Works plans to showcase the latest playable build at 'EVO 2026,' a fighting game tournament opening in Las Vegas on June 26. The game will be released on PC and PS5 on August 6.
