Electronic Arts (EA) and Respawn Entertainment have announced that an 'Apex Legends' collaboration event with the anime 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' will run from the 14th to August 4th. The event will feature a variety of content, including a limited-time Game Mode, a cyberware system, new Skins, and Mythic Weapon Skins.

The centerpiece of the event is the new Wildcard Game Mode, 'Night City Legends.' Players can utilize two types of cyberware: 'Sandevistan,' which allows for a rapid dash in any direction while regenerating shields (usable up to twice in succession), and 'Blackwall Breach,' which enables teleportation through netspace followed by an EMP blast that destroys enemy shields and reveals their locations.

A new 'Cyberpsycho' system is also being introduced. Repeated use of cyberware accumulates 'Cyberware Capacity,' and exceeding the limit triggers a Cyberpsycho state. In this state, movement speed and melee attack power are significantly increased, but the use of firearms, tactical abilities, ultimate skills, shields, and throwables is restricted. Players can clear this state by picking up 'Immunoblockers' scattered across the map.

Additionally, the E-District map will be decorated during the event to evoke the feel of Night City from 'Cyberpunk 2077.' The atmosphere of the original work is recreated with neon signs, holographic koi, and glitch effects.

A variety of limited-edition Skins commemorating the collaboration will also be added. Octane will receive a Lucy-themed look, Pathfinder a David theme, Rampart a Rebecca theme, Gibraltar a Royce theme, Ash a Lizzy Wizzy theme, and Loba a Panam theme. New Skins for Lifeline and Crypto will also be available, alongside eight Weapon Skins for the Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301, and Kraber.

The Mythic Weapon Skin, 'Mythic Skippy Alternator,' will also debut during this event. Recreating the AI pistol Skippy from 'Cyberpunk 2077,' the skin supports the two modes from the original—'Puppy-Loving Pacifist' and 'Stone-Cold Killer'—and allows players to upgrade its appearance and Elimination effects using Exotic Shards.

The event Collection will be available until August 18th. Players can earn event Resources called 'Eddies' through gameplay, which can be exchanged in the Reward Shop for various limited-time Items, including exclusive Skins for Valkyrie and Mirage. Furthermore, two types of Nessie plushies featuring Lucy and Rebecca concepts, created in collaboration with Youtooz, will be available for pre-order starting July 15th.
