Humans and Orcs will once again return to the battlefield against one another as Warcraft III: Reforged's multiplayer beta is set to begin this week.

According to a press release sent from Activision Blizzard, players will be able to play as either Humans or Orcs in 1v1 or 2v2 matchmaking games. Fear not lovers of the Undead and Night Elf races, both will be coming in the upcoming weeks alongside new game modes.

Players who pre-ordered the Spoils of War edition of the game will be the first to receive beta invites to the multiplayer mode as they will be sent out in waves. Subsequent waves will be sent to those who have pre-purchased the standard edition of Warcraft III: Reforged.

Although the official release date for the title has not been made public, with the annual BlizzCon event taking place at the end of the week, players will almost certainly learn more then.
