Around 30,000 hours. That is the total accumulated playtime for the Football Manager series revealed on-site by one fan. Fans who have enjoyed the series for over 10 years gathered, and during participant introductions, records of those who had played FM26 for over 500 hours were also showcased. "Managers" who have spent countess hours running clubs and obsessing over players and tactics gathered in one place.
At the Football Manager 27 (FM27) Korean fan meeting held on November 1 at GGX in Dongdaemun, Seoul, fans had the chance to test their accumulated football and FM knowledge. Fans were divided into four teams—"Referee," "CM," "Siu," and "Messi"—to tackle quiz questions. Even when familiar player and club names appeared, guessing the exact order was no easy task. If a team missed the correct answer, the chance passed to another team, and the MC determining which team raised their hand first explained the ruling criteria, joking, "We don't have VAR here."
The top-scoring quiz teams earned the opportunity to participate in "Beat SI," competing directly against developer Sports Interactive (SI). This was followed by a Q&A session where fans could directly ask the developers questions they had always been curious about. Here are photos capturing the meetup of fans who formed teams and shared stories over the game they have spent hundreds and thousands of hours playing.
