The official trailer for the point-and-click adventure game 'Moomin: Midsummer Madness' has been released.
On the 7th (the 6th local time), 'Moomin: Moomin Summer Madness' made another appearance at 'Wholesome Direct 2026,' an indie game showcase celebrating uplifting games. During the showcase, the title unveiled its official trailer and announced its upcoming release for PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch.
'Moomin: Midsummer Madness' is a point-and-click adventure inspired by Tove Jansson's original novel, 'Moominsummer Madness.' Set against the backdrop of a sudden flood that hits Moominvalley, players control Moomintroll and Little My on a journey to find their scattered family and friends and return home.
The story begins in earnest as the Moomin family is swept onto a floating theater filled with costumes, scripts, and the magic of the stage. The game is designed to be enjoyed by everyone, from children to adults, whether they are long-time Moomin fans or newcomers to the world.
The game's graphics are entirely hand-drawn, capturing the style of Tove Jansson's original illustrations. Scenes familiar to fans of the original work are hidden throughout, such as the Moominhouse, the Midsummer festival with the Fillyjonk, and the secrets of the theater. Each chapter includes puzzles and minigames that require players to use the unique abilities of Moomintroll and Little My. Additionally, a hint system is available for those who get stuck, making it easy for beginners to play.
'Moomin: Midsummer Madness' will officially support Korean and is scheduled for release in 2026 on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
