Hanwha Life Esports Brion (HLE Brion) rose to first place in their group after a 2-0 victory over BNK FEARX in the third round of the 2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) regular season, held at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 7th. After starting the season with two consecutive losses, they have now secured two straight wins, raising expectations for the upcoming fourth round.

Below is the full interview with Namgung 'Namgung' Seong-hun, who earned his first career Player of the Match (POM) award today.

Q. You've reached eight wins and reclaimed the top spot in the Rise Group. How does it feel to win.

'Namgung' = I really wanted to keep our winning streak going after our last match, so I'm happy we were able to pull off this victory.

Q. This is your first POM since your debut. How does it feel to be the star of the match?

'Namgung' = I'd always watch 'Teddy' or 'Gideon' receive POM awards and think about how much I wanted one too, so I'm thrilled to finally get my first one today.

Q. Was there anything you specifically wanted to say if you ever won your first POM?

'Namgung' = I wanted to say thank you to my teammates for playing so well.

Q. Hanwha Life Esports has had many close, three-set matches recently, but today you took a clean 2-0 win. The team's momentum seems to be building; what have you been discussing with your teammates?

'Namgung' = We told each other that we can keep winning, whether it's 2-0 or 2-1, and that we should just stay focused until the very end.

Q. You showed an incredible performance on Camille in Game 1. Camille has a very high pick-ban rate lately and is even appearing as a Supporter.

'Namgung' = I did have a few personal mistakes early on today, but I think she's a champion that fits me really well. If the opponents leave her open, I think we'll keep picking her.

Q. In Game 1, there was a highlight play that decided the match when Hanwha Life Esports was in a very difficult spot. It was the teamfight where 'Roach' got a pentakill; how did you assess the situation at the time?

'Namgung' = I didn't think there was an answer in a head-on teamfight, so I kept looking for an opportunity to flank from the back. My teammates set up the angles perfectly, which led to the pentakill and a great outcome.

Q. Your positioning behind the enemy line on Camille was particularly impressive. What was your thought process there?

'Namgung' = I honestly couldn't see any way to dive in from the front, so I decided that I absolutely had to go around the back to create a variable.

Q. That must have been a thrilling moment for the players. What was the team atmosphere like during the pentakill?

'Namgung' = Everyone was thrilled, saying, 'Wow, they actually won this.' I was just praying to myself, 'Please, just end the game.' (Laughs)

Q. In the second set, 'Namgung' continued to shine on Leona. The analysis desk also heaped praise on their initiation plays.

'Namgung' = I think I was able to coordinate well with my teammates and land those initiations at the right moments.

Q. Your next opponent is Nongshim REDFORCE. You won your last encounter, so you must be feeling confident. What is your mindset?

'Namgung' = I think their players are very skilled, so I won't let my guard down and will make sure we prepare well.
