Riot did not name Riven when it announced Vendetta. The set arrives with nine Champion Legends, but only seven champions were confirmed at the time. Inven Global, as an official preview partner, has the first English look at one of the newcomers: Riven, Shattered.
She is a Champion Unit in the Calm domain, costing three Energy and one Calm Power for a three Might body. Her rarity is Rare, and this Overnumbered Showcase version was illustrated by Shawn Lee.
Riven carries the Weaponmaster keyword. When you play her, you may attach an Equipment you already control without paying its Equip cost, so she can enter already armed if a piece is waiting at your base. Her attack ability rewards that setup: when she attacks, you choose an enemy unit at her battlefield and deal 2 damage to it for every Equipment attached to her. One weapon deals 2, two weapons deal 4, three weapons deal 6, and this repeats every time she attacks.
The effect also stacks with combat. Equipment raises Might, so each piece increases both her attack damage and her size in a fight. That turns a cheap unit into repeatable, targeted removal on an aggressive body. Equipment returns to your base when its holder dies, so investing in her rarely feels wasted, and the weapons move to your next unit.
The Calm domain is the surprise. Riven looks like a red, aggressive champion, yet she is green, positioned as the payoff half of a Fury and Calm Equipment deck, one of Vendetta's new domain pairings.
Vendetta launches worldwide on July 31, 2026, in English and Simplified Chinese, with 166 cards.
