Filming for the live-action Elden Ring movie, currently in production by A24, has concluded. Foreign media outlets reported that prop maker Sean Schofield shared updates on the production's status via social media.

On his Instagram, Schofield posted a photo of what appeared to be a wrap gift, along with a thank-you note from director Alex Garland and the production team. The post has since been deleted.

The message addressed the cast and crew, stating, "We sincerely thank you for your hard work on Elden Ring," and added, "Your exceptional acting, dedication, and professionalism were essential in completing this special project."

In the post before it was removed, Schofield wrote, "We poured our blood, sweat, and tears into this for six months to create the best possible result, and I worked with the best colleagues." He added, "I cannot share further details for a while, but I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved."

The live-action Elden Ring film began shooting last spring, with the full cast and release date announced in April. Alex Garland is writing and directing the film, which features a cast including Kit Connor, Ben Whishaw, Cailee Spaeny, Tom Burke, Havana Rose Liu, and Sonoya Mizuno.

Elden Ring is an action RPG created by FromSoftware's Hidetaka Miyazaki and Yui Tanimura in 2022. George R.R. Martin, author of A Song of Ice and Fire, contributed to the world-building. The game swept numerous Game of the Year awards in 2022 and became a massive commercial success, selling over 30 million copies globally.

Meanwhile, the Elden Ring film is expected to require significant time for post-production following the wrap. The movie is scheduled for release on March 3, 2028.
