Dplus KIA fell 0-2 to Hanwha Life Esports in their 2026 LCK regular season Round 2 match held at LoL PARK in Jonggak on the 15th. Having defeated Hanwha Life in the EWC qualifiers just recently, Dplus KIA seemed to have a strong chance of winning today, but they were ultimately overcome by Hanwha Life's solid performance.
Below is the full interview with Dplus KIA Head Coach Kim Dae-ho and player 'Smash' Shin Geum-jae.

Q. Could you provide your overall thoughts on today's match.
Head Coach Kim Dae-ho: It's disappointing because I thought we could win. The loss in Game 1 affected our mental state. It was a trade-off scenario between top and bottom lanes; we needed to leverage the strength of our winning side, but even though the opponent's bottom lane was in a more difficult position, we still ended up losing.
'Smash': I felt my performance had been improving lately, so I thought we could win. It's a shame we lost 0-2.
Q. You picked Irelia and Zyra in Game 1.
Head Coach Kim Dae-ho: Zyra was more satisfying than I had anticipated, but the Irelia pick was a significant blow.
Q. You had an advantage early in Game 2, didn't you?
Head Coach Kim Dae-ho: I need to go back and review it properly. Two major teamfight losses were the turning point.
'Smash': We were ahead, but we lost a big teamfight and gave up Baron, which turned the game against us in an instant. I think we were outclassed by the opponent in individual mechanics during those teamfights.
Q. Any final words?
Head Coach Kim Dae-ho: It feels like we're missing that final edge, and I will work hard to bridge that gap.
'Smash': I'm sorry to the fans for the loss, and I will make sure to prepare well for the next match.
