SKT Clid: "I've known Khan for a long time, so we work really well together. He's extremely loud, but I tend to get along well with him"

On the 20th, at the Gangnam Actoz Arena, Day 3 of the 2018 League of Legends KeSPA Cup took place. On the 2nd series of the day, SKT T1 defeated APK Prince with a score of 2-0. Today's match was Clid's very first here in Korea, and he showcased a unique, aggressive playstyle on Lee Sin and Nocturne during it.

The following is an interview with SKT Clid.

How do you feel about your victory?

Winning a match on stage always makes me happy. I feel that I got off on a good start.

I'm curious as to why you picked Lee Sin in game 1, and Nocturne in game 2.

In game 1, Lee Sin was a good champion to pick after the Camille ban. In game 2, we took the good remaining option, Nocturne.

Out of 10, how would you rate your performance today?

I'd give myself a 7. I'm not satisfied with my own performance today.

Which member of SKT do you work the best with in terms of teamwork so far?

I've known Khan for a long time, so we work really well together. He's extremely loud, but I tend to get along well with him.

* Translator's note: Clid says it in a way (lightheartedly) that he adjusts his own personality to match Khan's loud personality.

Who makes the calls during games?

Including myself, all five players [during a game] are talkative and are great players. Everyone respect's each other's opinions during games.

You played in China for quite some time before returning to Korea for SKT. What changed for the better?

First off, the food is delicious. Also, everyone on the team treats me very nicely. A lot of things became more comfortable for me.

Do you consider Haru your rival?

I see him more as a helpful partner than a rival.

The newly built SKT is currently being considered the "dream team," here in Korea. This must put a lot of weight on your shoulders.

There's some pressure, but my mind is always solely focused on winning the game, so it doesn't really affect me.

Is there anything you want to say to the SKT fans?

I'll do my best to perform better and leave behind a better record, than the 2018 Summer SKT.

Any last words?

I want to thank my head coach, coach, and teammates. They always stayed up all night hard at work, even before the KeSPA Cup began. I'd also like to ask the fans to continue cheering for us.
