The Oren update went live on June 4, drawing significant attention to new regions, including various hunting grounds and the iconic Ivory Tower. However, the influx of players also brought an increase in abnormal users. Illegal program users have proliferated once again, drawing complaints from many. Additionally, as more players across servers surpass level 50, debates have emerged regarding the 'value of stats.'
■ Oren is Finally Here! A Fresh Breeze in the Hunting Grounds.
The new Oren region has been updated. Highlights include the Ivory Tower, where various magic can be learned, and large field hunting grounds like the Snowy Wall (Borderland) and the Elmore Battlefield. While it was confirmed that the Ivory Tower does not sell high-priced spellbooks, there is little dissatisfaction, as items like 'Triple' were not originally slated for sale alongside the update. The hunting grounds themselves, however, are receiving quite positive reviews.
Oren's hunting grounds are being better received than the previous Flame Dragon's Nest, which struggled to provide the benefits of a new area due to its high difficulty. The Ivory Tower and Elmore Battlefield are currently the most popular spots. The primary reason is that while the EXP per monster is similar to or slightly lower than that of the Flame Dragon's Nest, these areas are populated by many Undead, allowing players to utilize material-based bonus damage and various skills.
The shift in hunting efficiency is also changing the monopoly landscape among top clans on each server. While the Flame Dragon's Nest was previously the primary area under control, the focus is now shifting to the Ivory Tower.

■ Generous Coupon Rewards, Including +3 Equipment and Infinite Teleport! But There's a Flip Side..
The pre-registration coupons for the Oren update offer unprecedented rewards compared to the past. Most notably, they provide equipment support and three 'Day' (Enchant) scrolls for pre-registration-bound equipment.
The original purpose of these dedicated scrolls was to help latecomers break through the early game faster in the expanded Aden World. Indeed, while new users previously had to seek out new servers or find Adena separately due to the difficulty of obtaining equipment, the coupon distribution has led to an increase in players starting fresh or leveling sub-characters on existing servers.
In the case of the Sword, various uses are emerging; for instance, users who already have a main weapon are frequently using it as a secondary weapon.
However, these coupons have a dark side. Because anyone can use them simply by pre-registering, it has exacerbated issues related to 'automated' accounts. Previously, 'workshops' flocked to new servers to obtain equipment, but now they are spread across all servers. Even when sanctioned, they simply use new accounts and new coupons to re-equip and return to the hunting grounds.
Furthermore, since the pre-registration rewards include an infinite-use Teleport spellbook, some argue that this has given a new lease on life to abnormal users who were previously unable to make shop purchases after the 'Talking Scroll' was converted into a cash item.

■ Up to 30 Hours to Log In? Queue Explosion
Many servers are currently facing a surge in queue issues. Even 'city' servers that previously had character creation limits have had those restrictions lifted with the Oren update, leading to massive queues everywhere.
The Deathly Knight server, which has the highest concentration of users, is experiencing a login crisis reminiscent of the game's early days. Regardless of the time of day, the queue number consistently exceeds 5,000, and the slow reduction rate means some users report waiting anywhere from 10 to 30 hours to log in.
Lineage Classic's structure is particularly stressful: if a player doesn't enter the world immediately after the queue ends, the connection is dropped. This leads to frequent instances where players wait for over a dozen hours, only to miss their window and be forced to start the queue all over again.
As the inability to log in persists, user frustration is intensifying. Suggestions range from reinstating character creation limits to introducing a system that disconnects idle users to improve turnover.
While some call for blocking the automated workshops that contribute significantly to the queue issues, this is realistically difficult. It is a fact that responding to those who employ all sorts of illegal methods is challenging. However, since users are not obligated to understand these circumstances, special measures are needed to prevent them from leaving the game.

■ Leveling with STR and Adding CON Later Yields the Same Result? The Stat System Issue
As users across servers surpass level 50, issues regarding stat distribution have emerged. For example, some argue it is unfair that a Knight leveled as a 'STR Knight' can reach the same HP as a character who invested in CON from the start by simply allocating points to CON after level 50.
From a system perspective, this seems fine at first glance. Since stats like damage, HP, and MP are determined based on level and stats, it seems logical that a character at the same level should have similar stats regardless of whether they started with STR and added 4 to CON, or vice versa, excluding random variations.
However, some argue that Lineage cannot be calculated so simply. The argument is that investing in CON from the start is a choice made to ensure higher HP for combat, accepting the penalty of slower leveling. Therefore, it is seen as inequitable to easily level up by investing in STR and then 'filling the gap' with CON later. This stems from the high value placed on leveling in Lineage, with the claim that a character's 'spec up' should be based on the stats held at the moment of leveling.
Various opinions are emerging on this. Those who see it as a problem argue that, given the value of leveling and the meaning of stats in Lineage, later stat additions should not be applied retroactively. Conversely, others argue that some players anticipated this system, and that before level 50, STR provided advantages in hunting while CON provided advantages in combat; therefore, one shouldn't claim that only STR users benefited previously just because they reached the level where stat investment is possible.
