Summer Game Fest (SGF) has become the centerpiece of the summer gaming season. Its main showcase begins on the 6th at 6:00 AM KST. Geoff Keighley, the mastermind behind The Game Awards—now the industry's largest annual gaming event—will host the showcase and unveil a variety of titles.
While games like Star Wars: Zero Company, Aion 2, Fortnite, and Among Us are confirmed for the event, the main showcase is billed as the 'future of video games,' leading to speculation about many other titles. Among the games frequently mentioned through rumors, developer hints, and insider leaks, the final installment of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy is considered highly likely to appear.
Expectations are also high for updates on previously announced titles such as Alien: Isolation 2, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, Castlevania: Curse of Belmont, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and Metro 2039. With news of NetherRealm developing a new fighting game, titles like Injustice 3 or a new DC fighting game have also been added to the list of potential reveals. Recent sensitive leaks have also put Persona-related projects in the spotlight.
Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which was absent from the State of Play event, is also rumored to be getting new information at SGF. The third trailer for GTA 6, which has been speculated to have a marketing partnership with Sony, was also expected to be revealed via State of Play; however, with marketing now mentioned for late June, it seems unlikely to appear at this event.
Nevertheless, there is a prospect that many games revealed at SGF will be available sooner than expected. This is because AAA titles are adopting a strategy of launching relatively early to avoid the release window of GTA 6, as seen during State of Play.

■ Release | The 7th Guest Remake

The 1990s horror puzzle adventure classic 'The 7th Guest' has returned as a full remake. Using multiple cameras to capture actors in 3D, the developers integrated them as 3D objects within the game, allowing them to react to light and shadow and appear natural from any angle. This approach modernizes the puzzles and the atmosphere of the game's iconic, eerie mansion. Unlike the remastered version, this full VR remake also features official Korean language support.
■ Update | Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel has climbed to the top of the sales charts following the release of the new 'Order of the New World' Selection Pack. Concurrent player counts, which hovered around 10,000, have surged to 37k. Given the nature of the card game, revenue is heavily concentrated around updates, helping it reach 4th in global sales and 1st in Korean sales. As it is serviced on various platforms beyond Steam, the actual performance is expected to be even higher.
