Unknown Worlds, a creative studio under KRAFTON (CEO Kim Chang-han), has sparked a global sensation with the early access launch of 'Subnautica 2,' the official sequel to the pinnacle of marine survival games, the 'Subnautica' series.

According to KRAFTON, 'Subnautica 2' easily surpassed 1 million cumulative sales on its first day of early access. It also topped the global top-selling games chart on Steam, the world's largest gaming platform, and maintained a 'Very Positive' user rating, earning high marks from both critics and players.

This success was anticipated well before launch. The cinematic trailer released in April garnered over 10 million views with its stunning visuals, and recent gameplay footage also surpassed 5 million views, capturing the attention of gamers worldwide. Having held the #1 spot on the global Steam wishlist for 36 consecutive weeks, analysts suggest that the high level of fan trust has translated directly into strong sales.

The new title is set on a different alien planet than its predecessor. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the unknown deep-sea ecosystem offers extreme immersion through vivid graphics. The most significant change is the introduction of a 4-player co-op mode, a first for the series. Players can now devise survival strategies and share the thrill of exploration with friends rather than going it alone.
