Starting on August 12, Uconnect Esports is hosting its most recently announced event across four days in partnership with Summer Splash. Collegiate Rising: Back to School will feature Twitch, Red Bull, Corsair, and MSI as partners and will feature tournaments, panels, and networking events via Discord. The upcoming Uconnect event is focused on transitioning back to standard educational operations following the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine and will feature esports competitions, too.
With live events slowly coming back, Uconnect Esports be focusing on getting new and returning leaders back up to speed with how to rebuild their clubs. Information on the event can be found on the Uconnect Events linktree, and those looking to attend can register for the event via its Eventbrite page. More information is available on the event's Facebook page as well. The event is online, but prizes are still up for grabs for those who place highly enough.
The subdivisions of Red Bull and Twitch that will be partnering with Summer Splash and Uconnect Esports for the event are Red Bull Gaming and Twitch Student, respectively. Riot Games' tactical shooter VALORANT is one of many esports that will have a Summer Splash tournament.
MSI and Corsair are sponsoring the prizes for the Summer Splash VALORANT tournament, which will be broadcasted on Uconnect Esports' Twitch channel. The sole exception of that in the prize pool is the Cloud9 hoodies and Twitch mugs, which are the prizes for the team that finishes in 2nd place in the upper bracket.
As the title implies, Collegiate Rising: Back to School will be the final event of its kind in the collegiate scene this summer. In addition, because of the recent Delta variant COVID-19 cases rising in certain parts of the world, events may continue to be hosted online for the time being.
