Mojang Studios has confirmed the release date for 'Minecraft' on the Nintendo Switch 2. On the 6th, Mojang announced via its official website that the Switch 2 version will be released on October 27, about a year after the console's launch last June.

The Switch 2 version will feature the 'Vibrant Visuals' graphics option enabled by default. This setting enhances lighting and shadow effects, which will also apply to Marketplace content that supports the option. However, it will not be available in certain environments, such as split-screen play, or in some Marketplace worlds and content.

The 'Super Mario Mash-up Pack' will also be updated. Exclusive to Nintendo platforms, this pack includes Mario-themed worlds, music, and dedicated skins. Players can explore locations such as Princess Peach's Castle and Delfino Plaza within the game. Mojang explained that the updated graphics will also be applied to this pack.

Existing Switch players can transfer their worlds to the Switch 2. A digital upgrade path for current Switch users will also be provided. Specific terms and pricing have not yet been disclosed, and Mojang plans to share further details at a later date.
