Kakao Games has selected actor Park Ji-hoon as the official advertising model for its upcoming 2.5D MMORPG, 'Dokkaebi World,' scheduled for release this October. With the announcement of the model, the company is officially kicking off its launch marketing campaign.

Kakao Games (co-CEOs Kim Tae-hwan and Lee Si-woo) announced on the 6th that it has selected actor Park Ji-hoon as the official advertising model for the new 2.5D MMORPG 'Dokkaebi World,' currently under development by Supercat (CEO Kim Won-bae).

Kakao Games decided on the partnership, believing that Park, who has been loved by the public for his delicate acting and unique aura, is the perfect figure to effectively convey the identity of 'Dokkaebi World,' which is rooted in Korean sentiment and a mysterious worldview.

'Dokkaebi World' is a 2.5D MMORPG based on the Naver web novel 'Myeolgwi Sudojeon.' The game aims to provide a differentiated experience from existing MMORPGs by featuring retro pixel-art graphics, an original worldview utilizing Korean themes, a highly flexible 'Skill Deck Building' system, and clan-based cooperative content.

The game is scheduled for release this October. Pre-registration will begin in August, followed by a showcase in September to unveil key content and service plans. Kakao Games plans to continuously expand its engagement with users by sequentially releasing various marketing content and game information leading up to the launch.
