Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang visited a T1 Internet cafe near Hongik University in Seoul on the 5th as his first stop during his visit to Korea, where he praised the country's gaming culture and the competitiveness of its esports scene.

An estimated 500 fans gathered at the venue. CEO Huang spent time interacting with them, kindly obliging requests for autographs and commemorative photos.

Taking the stage, CEO Huang attached special significance to Korea, calling it the birthplace of esports and the place where modern spectator culture was created.

"Korean gamers chose the best graphics processing units to win, and that was Nvidia," he said. "I thank you all for supporting Nvidia for so long."

Upon hearing that T1's Lee 'Faker' Sang-hyeok uses an RTX 4,070, CEO Huang joked that it was an 'antique' and gifted him a latest-model GeForce RTX 5090 signed by himself. Lee reciprocated by presenting a jersey signed by himself, and the two took a commemorative photo with the entire T1 squad.

Lee said, "It was a meaningful time meeting Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. For a pro gamer, a graphics card is a vital foundation for success. Even though it was a short time, it was great to have a conversation with him."

T1 COO Ahn Woong-ki explained the background of the visit, stating, "The relationship formed while co-hosting a 'Valorant' social media event with Nvidia served as the foundation for this meeting. We have maintained steady communication with Nvidia, and when we heard about his visit to Korea, we proposed the meeting."

Regarding the atmosphere, COO Ahn said, "The entire team was aware that CEO Huang has deep ties to gaming and leads the world's most valuable company, so they were very positive and excited about the event." He added, "I was most impressed by how he kindly accommodated as many autograph and photo requests from fans as possible, even though he was on a family vacation."

During the event, CEO Huang drew two names from the crowd and presented them with signed black cards, which serve as vouchers for 'RTX Spark,' a proprietary gaming laptop. "Three years ago, I discussed with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella that we needed to reinvent the PC, and we ended up creating a new generation of PCs that encompass both laptops and desktops," he said, promising to exchange the cards for the products when they launch this fall.

CEO Huang stayed at the venue for about 40 minutes before moving to his next destination without a separate Q&A session with the press. On the evening of the 5th, he is scheduled to meet with SK Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin at a Korean BBQ restaurant near Hongik University to discuss broad cooperation on AI semiconductors and data center infrastructure.
