DAMWON Gaming Signs Flame As Their New Top Laner

Flame rejoins the LCK for 2019 Spring Round 2.

On the 18th, through their official Twitter page, DAMWON Gaming announced that Flame will be joining the team for the 2019 LCK Spring Split Round 2. "Flame will be joining us for LCK Spring Round 2. Please root for him so that he can quickly adapt to his new environment and perform well!" they said. The Round 2 of this year's Spring Split will begin February 22.

Flame is well-known for being a veteran of the League of Legends esports scene, as he had played since season 2. After having spent the majority of his career in Korea, he moved to NA in late 2016 to join Immortals, where he placed 2nd in the 2017 NA LCS Summer Split to qualify for the World Championship that year. After his time in IMT, Flame started for FlyQuest, a team where he spent another year before returning to Korea.

As for DAMWON Gaming, the team is currently playing their very first split in the LCK league. Although the team had an explosive start at the beginning of the split, they're currently placed 5th in the 2019 LCK Spring Split leaderboard. Flame will have to share time with the team's existing top laner, Nuguri, and it's unknown how Flame will affect the team as a whole.
