MVP Beyond: "If we keep up this momentum, we have a good chance of beating every team that we face"

On the 6th of March, at the Gangnam Nexon Arena, the 31st day of the 2018 LCK Spring Split took place. On the 2nd series of the day, MVP took down ROX Tigers with a score of 2-0. During the series, Beyond had played Sejuani in both games and was a reliable jungler that protected his teammates.

The following is the post-match interview of Beyond.

How does it feel taking your 5th win of the Split against ROX?

Before the start of Round 2, we were a relegation candidate, so I had many concerns. It feels great that we got rid of that concern today.

ROX had been performing really well recently... did you expect to win today with a score of 2-0?

I knew we had a good chance because our results from practice were very good.

Your team's performance is really good right now. How much effect did patch 8.4 have on it?

We only had 1 day to prepare for 8.4, so I can't give a clear answer as of right now. But there are a lot of things that we can look into and research, so I'm positive about the patch.

Before today, MVP had shown a lot of inconsistency. How would you rate your own performance today?

I'll give myself a 6.5 out of 10. I'm satisfied with my skillshot accuracy, but I shouldn't have tried to steal the Baron in game 1. There are other mistakes that I made as well...

There's still hope for you guys in making playoffs. In your opinion, what are the chances?

Although we didn't fully assess the situation, probability-wise, I think we have a 15~20% chance. Every team in the LCK is currently very strong, so our current goal is to just simply win as much as we can.

A rough road still awaits you. Any predictions on your team's remaining matches?

As long as we cut our mistakes, I think we'll be able to beat any team. If we keep up this momentum, we have a good chance.

We're curious if MVP had prepared brand new strategies for patch 8.4.

Of course, we are. We'll show them soon enough on stage.

How are you guys performing so well in Round 2? What's the source?

Previously, we were all feeling pressure due to the whole relegation thing, and also, our team came to a realization before Round 2 began. It's hard for me to say in detail, but let's just say that we changed the way we practice.

Any final words?

I want to thank all the fans that always cheer for us.

I want all the hardworking players and coaches of our team to put in just a little bit more effort and reach even greater heights, together.
