On the final day of the 2026 LoL World Championship (Worlds) Swiss Stage, held at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, on the morning of the 1st (KST), Karmine Corp (KC) swept fellow European squad MKOI 2-0 to qualify for the quarterfinals.
In Game 1, with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line, both teams proceeded with extreme caution. Amid the tight contest, KC quickly picked up two dragon stacks. First Blood did not occur until 14 minutes and 55 seconds into the match, when Canna's Renekton ambushed and cleanly took down Supa's Zeri as he pushed mid lane. However, MKOI struck back by winning fights near the Rift Herald and top lane to flip the gold lead, while also winning a dragon teamfight. Nevertheless, KC secured the dragon itself to claim their third stack.
At the next dragon spawn, KC caught out the opposing bottom duo and secured the Dragon Soul in just 23 minutes. During a tense standoff, KC capitalized on a window when Zeri's ultimate was down to initiate a fight around Baron, winning the encounter and taking the buff. MKOI showed resilience in a crucial Elder Dragon fight, scoring a decisive teamfight victory to reclaim momentum. However, KC ultimately prevailed, winning the following Elder Dragon contest to secure both Elder and Baron before closing out the game.
KC carried that momentum into Game 2, getting off to a strong start with a 2-0 kill trade in a top 2v2 skirmish. This early victory snowballed across the map against MKOI, allowing a composed KC to build a lead of over 4,000 gold by the 16-minute mark. The gold gap continued to widen, with KC remaining in full control of dragon priority.
Maintaining their snowball, KC pushed to three dragon stacks, further expanded their gold advantage, and secured Baron, overwhelming MKOI with sheer power to seal a 2-0 series victory and lock in their spot in the quarterfinals.
