Colorful Palette, developer and operator of Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE! feat. Hatsune Miku, has established an animation production subsidiary, LATENT ONE. CyberAgent announced the launch on the 31st alongside the new studio's first project.

LATENT ONE was established in October, with Colorful Palette Director Riku Tsukada serving as CEO. Focusing on animation planning, production, and producing, the studio plans to create music videos and original works. The company explained that it aims to highlight the appeal of works from a fan's perspective while fostering a production environment where creators can fully display their originality.
Its debut production is the 2D music video for Project SEKAI's 6th anniversary song, 'Emerald.' According to the game's official 6th anniversary page, the track was composed by Tatsuya Kitani. The video was released on the 31st, with LATENT ONE credited as the animation production studio on its official website, alongside listed producers and production staff.
Project SEKAI previously released 2D music videos for its 1st and 2nd anniversary songs. While continuing this established video format, the new animation studio has been officially credited for this latest release.
Colorful Palette previously established Colorful Palette ENCORE, a subsidiary for live content planning and development, in June 2024. That announcement outlined venue and online live production as well as third-party 3DCG contract production as its primary operations. With the establishment of LATENT ONE, the company now maintains a separate subsidiary for animation production alongside live content.
