Hanwha Life Esports swept G2 Esports 2-0, continuing their journey toward the quarterfinals.
On October 31 (KST), Hanwha Life Esports secured a victory against G2 Esports in Round 4 of the 2026 LoL World Championship, held at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas.
Early in Game 2, both teams took divergent paths. 'Kanavi' Seo Jin-hyeok's Jarvan IV ganked bot lane while 'SkewMond's Qiyana ambushed top lane, each securing a kill for their respective team. Riding that momentum, 'Gumayusi' Lee Min-hyeong's Lucian and 'Delight' Yoo Hwan-joong's Milio responded with a duo kill, while 'BrokenBlade's Camille scored a solo kill. However, Hanwha Life Esports pushed their advantage further. Countering G2's play aimed at 'Zeus' Choi Woo-je's Ambessa, HLE swept up three kills.
Having scaled smoothly, 'Zeka' Kim Geon-woo's Swain made an early statement by holding out impressively in a 1v3 situation. G2 Esports attempted an aggressive mid-lane dive targeting 'Gumayusi' Lee Min-hyeong's Lucian, but Ambessa's timely arrival cost G2 two deaths. G2 subsequently went after Swain in the side lane, but that attempt only resulted in a 1-for-1 trade.
Ultimately, in a teamfight around the 21-minute mark, Hanwha Life Esports scored an Ace while giving up only Ambessa, taking a firm lead. Ambessa withstood G2 Esports' assault long enough to buy time for the main force to join. Hanwha Life Esports secured both the Hextech Soul and Baron. G2's sole hope, Camille, fell in the side lane, and Hanwha Life Esports closed out the game behind their massive Swain.
