G2 opens Minecraft recreation of its Berlin HQ for Worlds 2026 watch parties

Add us on

G2 Esports has rebuilt its Berlin headquarters block by block in Minecraft. It is a fan hub. The virtual HQ gives fans anywhere in the world a shared place to watch G2's run at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) together, from inside the game.

According to a release, the next watch party starts on October 30th at 11:00 PM UTC (4:00 PM PT). That match is G2 against Hanwha Life Esports in Round 4 of the Swiss Stage, a best-of-three (Bo3) series. Fans get a co-host too. G2 co-streamer Jankos will have his livestream shown on a giant in-game screen; the release promises his ‘signature energetic commentary’.

The stakes are high. A Swiss Stage pairs teams against opponents with the same win-loss record each round. For Hanwha Life, which comes in with two losses, the series is an elimination match.

How to join

Getting in takes a few steps. Players first need the CurseForge desktop app (CurseForge is a platform for downloading game mods), then install G2's modpack through it. A modpack is a bundle of mods set up to run together.

Then comes the import. Players load the profile with 'Create Custom Profile' > 'Import' and join the server at 199.115.72.109:25565. G2's Minecraft office site has more details, plus downloadable in-game skins based on G2 pro kits and jerseys from past seasons.

Open after Worlds

The hub never closes. It is open 24/7, the release says. It will stay up once Worlds ends, and G2 plans more watch parties there throughout 2027.

It has been a big year. Worlds closes what the release calls ‘a historic season’ for G2. Rasmus "Caps" Winther was inducted into the Hall of Legends this year, and the organization won its 20th LEC title; the release says no other team has done that.
