NEXPACE, Nexon's blockchain subsidiary, is accepting applications until the 24th for its 'MapleStory N X Curator' program, which designates creators of 'MapleStory N' as official partners.
Eligible applicants are those who have created content related to 'MapleStory N' or communicated with users within the community. The criteria apply to users who have posted relevant content or produced videos and images on X (formerly Twitter) within the past month. Streamers, guild leaders, and community managers are also eligible to apply.
NEXPACE stated that selection will not be based solely on single metrics like follower counts or post numbers. Instead, it will comprehensively evaluate activity levels and engagement on X, content quality and impact, in-game activity, and community management experience. Alignment with the program's direction was also cited as an evaluation factor.
Selected curators will produce gameplay content—such as class guides, gear crafting, and boss guides—or share update news with the community. They will be granted the official title of 'MapleStory N Curator' and can participate in special missions that reward NXPC and in-game items. Networking opportunities for collaboration among curators and a dedicated support program will also be provided. This recruitment is for a pilot operation lasting approximately three months.
NXPC, included in the rewards, serves as the primary currency across 'MapleStory N' and the MapleStory Universe ecosystem. It was listed on exchanges such as Upbit, Bithumb, and Binance alongside the game's official release in May of last year. Because creators are compensated with an asset priced on public exchanges rather than simple in-game currency, the reward structure differs from traditional creator support programs run by domestic game companies.
The choice of X as the recruitment channel reflects the game's service regions. 'MapleStory N' launched globally on May 15, 2025, but is unavailable in Korea due to local domestic regulations. As a result, users gather on X and Discord rather than Korean community sites.
Granting official status to user activities is also tied to NEXPACE's ecosystem revenue structure. According to NEXPACE's H1 2026 report released on the 9th, MapleStory Universe generated approximately 30.98 million NXPC in protocol revenue during the first half of the year.
During the same period, approximately 28.14 million NXPC was distributed to users as play rewards in 'MapleStory N'. Around 95% of the revenue stemmed from voluntary user spending, including item enhancement and synthesis. Since user activity directly drives ecosystem revenue, this move is seen as an effort to bring creators who boost user acquisition and retention into an official framework.
NEXPACE stated that it established the program in line with the trend of viewing user-generated content as a core pillar of the gaming ecosystem. The company explained that by recognizing voluntary content creation as a form of contribution, it aims to drive sustained engagement.
