Gamepia announced that physical edition pre-orders for 'Dynasty Warriors 2 with Xtreme Legends Remastered'—a hack-and-slash tactical action game developed by Koei Tecmo Games—for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 will begin on September 15. The game officially supports Korean subtitles.
'Dynasty Warriors 2 with Xtreme Legends Remastered' is a remastered title that modernizes and merges the original 'Dynasty Warriors 2' and its expansion content 'Dynasty Warriors 2: Xtreme Legends' into a single package.
Utilizing Unreal Engine 5, the game completely overhauls character models, lighting effects, and large-scale battlefield representations. It features over 40 playable officers, expanded stories, and Challenge Mode, while also introducing a new playable character, 'Zilan', along with additional story missions and sub-scenarios.
Combat adds new mechanics such as dodges, just dodge counterattacks, and perfect power guards, alongside a weapon combination system that merges equipment attributes. Players can choose between classic settings that preserve the feel of the original game and modernized mechanism options, and the game also supports offline two-player split-screen co-op and versus modes.
Pre-orders will run from September 15 to September 30. The official release date in South Korea is October 1, with an age rating of 15+. The physical PS5 edition will be provided as the Hong Kong version, while the physical Nintendo Switch 2 edition will be provided as the North American version.
