In a joint statement regarding the change of the largest shareholder, Wemade and NeoPulse announced that an investor consortium will proceed with the procedures to close the transaction by October 30.
The investor consortium—comprising gaming investment platform NeoPulse and global game company Kingnet, among others—signed a stock purchase agreement (SPA) with Wemade Chairman Park Kwan-ho on June 30. They are currently taking the necessary steps to close the deal, including remaining balance payment and regulatory approvals.
Once the relevant procedures are completed, the investor consortium will become Wemade's largest shareholder with a cumulative 40.25% stake. The consortium plans to expand various opportunities, including publishing and core IP licensing business in global and Chinese markets, while building a risk response framework based on its experience with the local market and industry.
Wemade will proceed with the procedures alongside the investor consortium, focusing on stable business operations and sustainable growth. The company also intends to continue its current core projects and organizational management according to existing plans.
