Arc System Works Asia announced that its new Apple Arcade exclusive title, 'River City Survivors: Downtown of the Dead', will launch on October 1.
'River City Survivors: Downtown of the Dead' is a survivors-like action game based on the River City series where players battle screen-filling swarms of zombies. Defeating zombies yields EXP to level up, allowing players to evolve iconic special moves from the series into forms with enhanced visuals and power.
Each time players level up, randomized upgrade options appear, allowing them to create their own unique build by combining skill attacks, projectile attacks, and stat boosts. Gear can also be equipped across six slots—Gakuran (school jacket), Bontan (baggy pants), belts, shoes, accessories, and inner buttons—to boost stats.
As players progress through the game, they can control over 20 characters, including Kunio and Riki. Each character possesses distinct skills and stats, and players can summon up to two allied characters as NPCs to fight alongside them. The official release version will support Korean.
