Nexon's online soccer game 'EA SPORTS FC Online' (hereinafter 'FC Online') is rolling out a major update and a series of events to celebrate the global soccer season. The update introduces new classes such as 'PTG' and 'TK' and offers benefits for new and returning players, including top-tier player items as login rewards.

Additionally, the game features content for both new and existing players, including events that allow users to re-acquire popular players from the past and various reward programs. A new mobile-exclusive training mode, 'Player Growth,' has also been added.

■ 'The Impact' Event: Top-Tier Player Rewards for New and Returning Users'

The major 'THE IMPACT' event, where players can earn rewards simply by logging in, will run for four weeks from May 28 to June 24. Rewards are distributed sequentially by week; in the first and second weeks, players will receive tradeable +8 versions of players from the new 'PTG' and 'TK' classes.

The third week offers 11 '40% Transfer Market Fee Discount Coupons,' and the fourth week provides one '100% Fee Discount Coupon.' These players are tradeable, allowing users to add them to their squads or sell them on the transfer market to acquire other desired players.

An onboarding event for new and returning users is also underway. Launched on April 23, this event provides a dedicated support pack that allows users to instantly build a 11-man squad.

■ Events for Existing Players: Re-acquiring Popular Players and New Class Rewards

The 'FC World Festa,' running until July 22, helps users re-acquire popular players they previously used at high enhancement levels (+8 to +12). By using special tickets obtained on the event page, users can unlock additional rewards linked to other events, including the 'Player Growth' mode in 'FC Online M' (mobile).

Gameplay-linked events are also available. The 'PTG/TK +8 Guaranteed' event rewards players with a 'Final OVR 125+ Player Pack (+8)' from the 'TK' and 'PTG' classes after completing 20 matches in 1v1 official mode. This reward can be claimed twice during the event period, once per week from June 4 to June 18.

■ New 'PTG, TK, SH' Classes and Mobile-Exclusive 'Player Growth' Mode

Three new classes have been added this season. 'PTG (Path to Glory)' consists of approximately 560 players who participated in the 2026 World Game qualifiers. Their stats will receive a 'Live Performance' boost of up to +5 based on their actual team's performance from the Round of 32 through the finals. Players who may be making their final tournament appearance will feature a special mini-face-on with the 'Last Flame' label.

'TK (Team Korea)' is a class featuring 30 players who have represented the South Korean national team between 1998 and 2026. According to Nexon, this class currently ranks first in transfer market search volume and South Korean team color popularity in 'FC Online.' The stats for Park Ji-sung reflect his performance as captain during the 2010 World Cup, where he led the team to its first-ever away Round of 16, while Ahn Jung-hwan's stats reflect his performance during the 2002 semi-final run.

'SH (Step Higher)' is a class featured in the mobile-exclusive 'Player Growth' mode in 'FC Online M.' Introduced alongside the 8th-anniversary update, 'Player Growth' allows users to select one of four SH class players and develop them, with the user designing the growth path. The mode offers bonuses when linked with PC gameplay and operates on a seasonal basis, featuring a system where a 'Legacy Badge' remains after a player retires.

■ Collaboration with Naver CHZZK: Integrated Match Viewing and Gameplay Content

Nexon is collaborating with Naver's streaming platform 'CHZZK' to offer content that links soccer match viewing with in-game play. While watching broadcasts on CHZZK, users can enjoy three types of minigames—'Finesse Shot Challenge,' 'Free Kick Challenge,' and 'Squad Maker'—and link their participation to their 'FC Online' account.
