Averton (CEO Kim Dae-hwon) unveiled its new challenge, the cooperative roguelite FPS ‘Guns and Dragons,’ for the first time on the 14th. Along with the announcement, Averton opened official pages on Steam and the Epic Games Store and showcased thrilling gameplay footage.

‘Guns and Dragons’ is a roguelite FPS game set in a fantasy world infused with hextech technology. Players take on the role of an engineer deployed to save a planet in crisis and must fight against a powerful dragon army. The core of the game is ‘build play,’ where characters and weapons grow through repeated battles, and it features a system that allows weapons to evolve into various forms by combining ‘Runes’ and ‘Cores’ acquired during combat. The newly released video offers a glimpse into fast-paced shooting action, a real-time changing weapon system, and the immersion of single-player gameplay alongside the fun of cooperative (Co-op) play for up to four players. Averton is currently accelerating development with the goal of launching ‘Guns & Dragons’ on Steam Early Access within the year. Park Jun-woo, Director of ‘Guns & Dragons,’ explained the background of the development, stating, “Although PvE FPS is a genre with undeniable fun, there haven’t been many proper options in the market recently.” He added, “Averton possesses a flexible environment where developers’ creative ideas are not wasted but actively reflected in games, allowing all team members to create unique works with great affection.” Averton CEO Kim Dae-hwon emphasized, “Averton is simultaneously managing teams continuing novel and bold endeavors, such as ‘Guns & Dragons’ and ‘Project EA,’ alongside the large-scale title ‘Zeus,’ which involves massive capital investment,” adding, “We will expand our development capabilities in various directions through this two-track strategy.” Meanwhile, the highly anticipated MMORPG ‘Zeus: God of Pride,’ developed by Averton and published by Com2uS, has also begun its full-scale operations by recently opening a teaser site. With ‘Zeus’ aiming for a release in the upcoming third quarter, Aburton is expected to solidify its position in the market by successively introducing major titles and innovative new releases throughout the year.
